Why this phase mattered
Each of these came from a real customer request and had to become a general capability rather than a one-off. That meant requirements gathering, scoping, and judging where a request should live in the product rather than where it was asked for.
It was also the phase where my role changed. I moved from taking features to managing my own pipeline, planning project work, contributing to the design system for the base product, and starting direct customer communication, including advising retailers’ own UX teams on device branding. That customer contact is what led into Branding Studio.
